This morning I was on my way to work, doing my normal routine. Stop at Dunkins get an Ice coffee for the T ride, and I decide today I am a little hungry, so I grab a corn muffin.

I got off the T at my normal stop (copley), walked through the turnstile, and saw a "New" homeless dude sitting on the floor. I decided I was going to give him my corn muffin because he looked hungry. I walked up, handed him my corn muffin, and tried to walk away all discrete like.
Well this homeless gent had the audacity to say "God bless you"...

What makes him think that I belive in God? Furthermore what makes him think I belive in his God? What if his God is the God of famine...why would I want his belssings? It kinda bothers me that "God bless you" has turned into a normal greeting for people. Now I dont have my corn muffin, and I am thinking I may need because God of Famine bless' me.

Damn it!

just because he says it to you doesn't necessarily mean you have to believe it. i'm not what you'd call "religiously affiliated" but i don't let things like that get to me, i live in the south, it's full of closed minded christians trying to shove their beliefs down people's throats, and quite honestly, sometimes it gets really annoying, but i try not to let it get to me. it's not that i'm anti-christian or anything, i just don't go to church, and i don't really have a so-called faith.

if that offended anyone here, it wasn't meant to, i was just speaking my opinion on the subject. i'm sure this thread could turn out to be a full blown religious debate

Belive I am not trying to offend anyone but if I do oh well. This is ment to be funny...people turned "GOD Bless you" into a normal greeting that it has lost its meaning.

This was just an occernce in daily life that we all dont notice...like:

well if the man was homeless, and starving and some random guy gave him food without words and walked away. couldnt you see how he thought god sent you to help him out? maybe not sent you, but how god helped him out when he was in a time of need.
